An outbreak of Salmonella has the Kelloggs company recalling many products. You can now add peanut butter to the list. It has been announced on the Kelloggs site, that these items are all subject to the recall:
Austin Quality Foods products: all sizes of Austin Cheese & Peanut Butter Sandwich crackers, Mega Stuffed Cheese Crackers with Peanut Butter, PB&J Cracker Sandwiches, Super Snack Pack Sandwich Crackers, Chocolate Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers, Toasty Crackers with Peanut Butter, Reduced Fat Cheese & Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers, cookie/cracker packs and variety packs.
Keebler products: all sizes of Cheese & Peanut Butter Sandwich crackers, PB’n J Flavored Sandwich crackers, Toast & Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers, as well as Keebler’s Soft Batch Homestyle Peanut Butter cookies in 2.5 ounce packages.
Famous Amos: Peanut Butter Cookies in 2 and 3 ounce packages.
Kellogg’s expanded peanut butter recall notice now includes cookies, whereas the earlier recall included a much more select variety of peanut butter crackers sold under the Austin and Keebler brand names. Affected recall items were manufactured on or after July 1, 2008.
